BACK TO THE BASICS.

A Two Part Series. 

With Kurt Mansergh and Erin Harris.

Sometimes you have to go Back to the Basics to progress. This two-part series will be broken down into two distinct workshops, where students will have the option to attend one weekend or both for a discounted price.

In week one we will cover the essential yoga postures that build our everyday practice. Yoga postures (asana) can be tricky so first we will decode the foundational asanas and why we do them, and then dive deeper into basic yoga anatomy and alignment.

In week two we will learn the history of yoga and how it evolved through the ages, then move to interactive discussions on the philosophy of yoga and how to apply it in everyday life.

The benefits of mindfulness and meditation can be incorporated into both the physical and spiritual aspects of a yoga practice. We will touch on this topic in both workshops, as it relates to each. 

Whether you’re new to the practice or whether it’s been lifetimes you’ll feel anything but basic after this series.

Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided for both days. Please bring your own journal or notebook.

YINNERS + SAINTS

Calling all Yinners and Saints, we’re diving deep into everything relaxation for a night of blissing out and letting go. Led by SoulSpeak yogi Kurt Mansergh, this workshop will include a 90 minute Yin and Meditation practice by candlelight as local registered massage therapists float the room offering hands-on adjustments and essential oil massages.

  Saturday, February 29th from 7-9pm
Glow + Flow
  The first half of Saturday’s workshop will consist of an energizing, room temp, beat bumpin’ flow where the lights go low and the vibes lift high. Before we flow, some of our fav local artists will be here painting body art designs, so your body can glow as bright as your soul.
Post Flow 
    A yogi social for the ages – We’re providing local drinks and treats from the neighbourhood. Chill out and meet like-minded yogis in the community, while supporting other local businesses and entrepreneurs.

The DETOX

Sunday, March 1st from 5-7pm
Restore + Reset
        Life is all about balance, so this portion of the workshop will focus on restoring the body after a weekend of fun. To begin we’ll sweat it     out in a hot detox flow for the soul + to end the night we’ll slow it down with an essential oil Yin and massage class to relax the body and soothe the mind.
